Various resources such as greens, wood, or ore can be gathered around the island. These resources are obtained from leaf piles, dirt mounds, shrubberies, and rocks.

Leaf piles do not need a special tool. You can simply interact with them to gather the resources they offer.

Dirt mounds, shrubberies, and rocks need you to have acquired the tools below:

• Dirt mounds - shovel
• Shrubberies - machete
• Rocks - pickaxe

Please note that your tools may need to be upgraded to interact with higher-level resource spots. For example, you only need a wooden shovel to interact with basic dirt mounds. However, an upgraded shovel will be required for you to gather resources from higher level dirt mounds which appear visually distinct from the basic dirt mounds.

Some resources also respawn throughout the day at different rates and are eventually limited. Critters and fish do not have a limit. Shells are another item to collect and are limited to 20 a day. Clams are limited too. Relics need the dowsing rod and are limited to up to 3 a day depending on the level of the tool. Ore respawns every 18 hours. Most other stuff replenishes at the start of a new day. Harvestables, be it wild trees, regular trees, bushes or flower plants, have different schedules when they become available to harvest.
